  • Deepened concerns over growing cyber threats, AI-driven risks, and rising compliance burdens on SMEs.
  • Frustrated with the lack of effective, scalable tools for SMEs.
  • With 15+ years in cybersecurity consultancy, identified a clear market gap in automated cyber risk management.

November 2024 – Team Formation & Early Development

  • Shane joins team, bringing together expertise in cybersecurity, AI, and DevSecOps.
  • Defined Overpass core approach, leveraging AI-driven automation to simplify cyber risk management.
  • Started planning the Proof of Concept (POC) focusing on risk assessment & ISMS automation.

December 2024 – POC Development & Testing

  • Developed and refined the POC, proving feasibility for AI-driven risk assessment.
  • Conducted early testing and validation with industry insights.
  • Integrated ISO 27001, NIST, and Essential Eight compliance frameworks.
  • Oxford University – Artificial Intelligence Programme

March 2025 – Seeking Investment for MVP & Market Entry (Now)

  • POC validated – now progressing towards a full MVP.
  • Engaging with advisors and industry bodies on how we can build a world class product.
  • Actively engaging investors to accelerate development and fund go-to-market strategy.
  • Preparing for POC feedback & existing client pilots and adoption in consultancy capacity.
